Happy Trails to you - Summer 2022
Dear future students and parents,
Oh my gosh! You have no idea how excited we are getting ready for Texas history this year. We have been traveling, planning, reading, and researching all that is Texas to prepare for a fun, educational year for you.
The other day we got together. Mr. Young showed up with a box of antique objects including a cowboy lasso and arrowheads. Ms. Oricchio showed off her newly organized "Texas fossil box".
We are both currently reading, "Big Wonderful Thing, A History of Texas", by Stephen Harrigan. Can't promise either of us will finish it by August. It's 834 pages long and weighs about seven pounds. (I think I busted my spleen reading in bed the other night, but it is so good! - Mr. Y.)
Mr. Young has been spending most of the summer helping an elderly friend with home improvement projects. Lots of time on a ladder. Ms. Oricchio has been doing a little sightseeing around the state and mostly driving her son to and from work and taking naps.
But it's only July 1st, so stay tuned.
Happy Trails,
Ms. Oricchio & Mr. Young
